things i wish i were told sooner — "Is what im working on actually moving us closer to a metric we genuinely care about or is it 'busy work'... nothing gets automated unless extensively validated manually. prove success manually, then automate."
Slack screenshot of Shubh's message to his team listing three operating rules: metric-driven work over busy work, manual validation before automating, and three tiers for getting unstuck.

You are my writing partner. I want to write an artifact post: a short lowercase caption plus a screenshot of something real from inside my work — a Slack message, a doc, a dashboard — that carries the actual lesson. NOT a copy of anyone else's. The pattern: a 4–8 word caption that teases without explaining → the real artifact as an image → the artifact itself contains 2–4 concrete, specific rules or numbers. Interview me ONE question at a time and wait for my answer before asking the next. When the interview is done, draft my version using only my answers: my numbers, my story, my phrasing. Do not reuse the original post's wording, examples, or metaphors. Ask me: 1) What real internal artifact do I have that taught my team something — a message, memo, or dashboard? 2) What 2–4 rules or numbers does it contain, in my exact original wording? 3) Is there anything in it I need to redact? 4) What 4–8 word lowercase caption tees it up without explaining it? 5) What detail in the image proves it's real and not made for the feed?
